Scrambler Kit Install Guide

Your Jeep Gladiator is ready for a transformation that turns heads on and off the trail. The Scrambler Kit is precision-cut for each individual panel, ensuring a perfect fit that flows seamlessly with your rig’s body lines. Before you begin, let’s set the stage for a flawless install.

Tools Needed

  • Scissors

  • Tape Measure

  • Masking Tape

  • Felt-tip Squeegee

  • Microfiber Cloth

  • Isopropyl Alcohol (70% or higher)

Step 1: Surface Preparation

  • Clean all surfaces thoroughly with a microfiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol.

  • Pay close attention to edges, corners, and recessed areas to remove any dirt, grease, or residue.

  • Ensure the surface temperature is between 50°F and 80°F for optimal adhesion.

Step 2: Layout and Panel Positioning

  1. Reference the Diagram: Each piece of vinyl is pre-cut for its specific panel. Use the provided numbered diagram to guide you.

  2. Test Fit All Pieces: Lay each vinyl panel on its designated spot without removing the backing paper. Ensure proper alignment and adjust as needed.

    • Do not begin installation until all pieces are correctly positioned.

    • Check the fit against body lines, door seams, and trim.

    • This step will ensure that all panels are equally separated.

Step 3: Start the Install – Front to Rear

  • Begin with the front-most panel and work your way toward the rear of the vehicle.

  • Use the dry hinge method for each panel:

    1. Tape down the center of the panel to create a hinge.

    2. Lift one side of the panel and peel back the backing paper halfway, cutting it off carefully.

    3. Squeegee the vinyl into place from the center hinge outward, applying firm and even pressure.

    4. Repeat for the opposite side.

Step 4: Secure the Edges

  • Once each panel is in place, go over the edges and seams with the squeegee to ensure proper adhesion.

  • For any air bubbles, use your thumb in a rolling motion to work the air out through the vinyl’s built-in air-release channels.

Step 5: Repeat for Remaining Panels

  • Move systematically, following the diagram as you work your way down the vehicle.

  • Maintain consistent alignment by double-checking body lines and trim before squeegeeing each panel.

Step 6: Final Inspection

  • Once all panels are installed, inspect the entire vehicle for bubbles or lifting edges.

  • Squeegee any problem areas again to ensure everything is secure.

Additional Notes

  • Dry Install Only: This kit is designed for dry installation due to the air-release channels in the adhesive. Wet installs may cause water to become trapped and affect adhesion.

  • Professional Installation Recommended: While this kit is rated easy to medium difficulty, consider professional installation if you’re unfamiliar with vinyl application.

With your Sticky Vinylz Scrambler Kit, your Gladiator will look ready to tackle any adventure in style. Let the transformation begin!
